Hi there!
Welcome to my blog, the blog about anything, everything, and some of the time, nothing.
My name is Elizabeth…aka Libby…currently completing Bachelor Communications Honours at RMIT in Melbourne. I graduated from Communications (Public Relations) last year and was offered a scholarship to do Honours, so here I am!
During my under grad degree I decided PR was not where I wanted to be going and TV journalism is where its at. So I started working at Channel 31 on The Breakfast Show (one of the funniest shows of all time!) It was a morning show like ‘Sunrise’, but a lot funnier. I started news reading on there, and once I had some practice I began reading on the C News update, which is a five minute news break on Channel 31.
On CNews we head out one day a week with a camera man and shoot some stories then write them up, do some voice overs and record in the studio. It is great experience for those wanting to be TV journos and I absolutely love doing it! We had a slight situation after I returned from an overseas holiday to find my place gone when i got back, but now we are back in action and you can catch me Monday nights 8pm and 10pm on Channel 31!
So there you have it, I am trying to get as much experience in the media before next year when I might actually be forced to enter the real world.
